Our Story

At the end of 2020 Gerbrand and Lisa started to experiment making nut based cheese. After having been vegan for a few years they missed the taste and ritual of eating really good cheese. Through many experiments they found something they loved. Friends loved it too. Friends became clients. And friends of friends, and so it began.

All nut cheeses are hand made in small batches from high quality organic ingredients in their nut cheese atelier on Waiheke Island. The nuts are activated and cultured to perfection and blended with carefully curated herbs.

We call it High Culture. We take our nut cheese seriously. We love it that it’s plant based and organic.
